Siu Mai -
Chinese Steamed Dumplings

Featuring: Golden Yuan Chow Mein Noodles

 1 pkg. GOLDEN YUAN Won Ton Wrappings

Dumpling filling:
1 egg
1 lb. minced pork
2 tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. chopped ginger or
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 onion - finely chopped

2 - 3 stalks of celery or bak choi    or swisschard - finely chopped
1 tsp. sesame or vegetable oil
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. soya sauce

  1. Combine filling ingredients and mix throughly.

  2. Add 1 tbsp. of the filling mixture to the middle each wrapping.

  3. Bring edges of wrapping up and around the sides of the filling, leaving the top of the filling exposed.

  4. Place dumplings on an oiled dish and steam for 10 - 15 minutes.

  5. Dumplings can be served with plain soya sauce, or soya sauce with vinegar, ginger, and chopped onion added to taste.
